SCRIPTURE REFLECTIONS

Passage: Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV)

“Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.”

“Behold, I will do a new thing…”

We often think “new” means exciting. But in Scripture, “new” often begins with uncomfortable shifts:

A new path.
A new mindset.
A new healing.
A new level of trust.

Isaiah 43:19 reminds us that God is not asking us to “fix” the old—

He is inviting us to release it. Think about the next line:

“I will make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

A road where nothing existed before.
A river where no water had ever flowed.

This is what God does:
He creates what you cannot create.
He opens what you cannot open.
He heals what you cannot heal.
He brings life to places you thought were permanently barren.

If you’re in a season where you feel stuck or spiritually dry, the question is not:

“Can God move? ”He already is.

The deeper question is:

“Am I willing to let Him do something new—even if it doesn’t look the way I expected?”

New always begins with letting go.

Closing Encouragement

As you sit with this Scripture today, I pray you feel hope rising in places that once felt dry or forgotten. God is not asking you to force anything to happen—He is inviting you to trust that He is already making a way, even when you cannot see it yet. Your desert is not the end of the story. It is the place where new beginnings quietly take root.

Prayer Over You

Closing Prayer
Lord, I lift this precious daughter of Yours into Your hands. As she meditates on Your promise to do a new thing, let her feel Your nearness and Your gentle guidance.

Where her heart feels weary, breathe strength.
Where she feels uncertain, speak clarity.
Where old stories have held her back, bring freedom and healing.

I ask that You open her eyes to the new thing You are already doing in her life. Build a road where she has seen only wilderness. Pour living water into the places that have felt dry. Restore her confidence that You are leading her forward with purpose and love.

Cover her with peace today, and remind her that she does not walk this journey alone.
Amen.
